Corporate Finance Analyst
Role Overview
We are looking for an Analyst to join our Corporate Finance Advisory team focused on capital and debt raising, M&A advisory and debt syndication transactions with a focus on West Africa across consumer, industrials, infrastructure, natural resources and power sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join an upcoming Africa-focused investment bank.
Profile
- ▪ Distinctive academic record.
- ▪ Relevant 1-3 years’ experience in CIB or corporate finance advisory or investment banking.
- ▪ Studying towards a professional qualification in finance.
- ▪ Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling.
- ▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
- ▪ Strong interest in general economic and geo-political trends over Africa..
Responsibilities
- ▪ Assist in preparing investment memoranda presentations.
- ▪ Collaborate with senior team members to structure financial solutions.
- ▪ Conduct financial and risk analyses, valuation, and modelling to provide insights into deal feasibility.
- ▪ Prepare financial models, valuations and detailed financial analyses to support deal structuring.
- ▪ Prepare presentations, pitch books, and detailed reports for client meetings and internal discussions.
- ▪ Perform market research and industry analysis to identify potential opportunities and industry trends.
- ▪ Collaborate with senior team members and contribute to client relationship management.
- ▪ Support due diligence processes and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- ▪ Contribute to internal process improvements and efficiency initiatives
